This position will encompass musical worship, assisting with an overall ambiance for the worship at church services.
Job responsibilities:
– Lead Worship each week for Sunday and Wednesday service as well as any special events as they arise.
– Engage the congregation into the presence of God.
– Be able to direct the worship team/choir so that there is unity and understanding in the arrangement and execution of songs.
– Possess a working knowledge of the soundboard/tech setup as well as livestreaming and computers as it relates to music and sound.
– Be able and willing to assist in any tech problems that may arise as well as train an apprentice to assist with sound and tech support.

– Be able to quickly problem solve to ensure services run as smoothly as possible
– Demonstrate a Christ-like attitude through all interactions with the congregation, staff and volunteers.
– Invest in and invite the lost and struggling to know Jesus and continue their growth in Him while attending First Baptist Church.
– Must be mature in your faith. Must have a clear testimony of faith and continually work to grow in a relationship with Christ.
– Theologically sound in musical style and creativity.
Excellent people, leadership and organizational skills.

– Be able to implement both modern and traditional worship songs.
– Possess and engaging, gracious and relational style.
– Proficiency in music theory is a plus
– Ability to play an instrument and possess strong vocal skills in order to easily engage the church body in worship.
Educational Requirements:
– High School Diploma or equivalent
– Seminary Degree preferable, but not required. continuing education goals are a plus.
Background clearance is required. Salary is negotiable based on level of experience and education.
